Under Milk Wood

Second film adaptation of 'Under Milk Wood', a piece of soap operas originally created by Welsh writer Dylan Thomas. The 1972 version was translated in Spain as 'Bajo el bosque lácteo'.

The story centers on the inhabitants of a fictional Welsh fishing village (Dylan called "Llareggub"), or, rather, the dreams and thoughts of the characters, which we'll see represented on screen. When they awake, each will return to their daily chores.

Among the characters in the story are: Captain Cat (Rhys Ifans), who remembered his days as a sailor; Organ Morgan (Aneirin Hughes), obsessed with their music; or Polly Garter (Charlotte Church), a beautiful young woman who longs for her dead lover.

Predominantly surrealism, fantasy and irony so characteristic of Dylan.
