Plot
'Uncle Howard' is an unusual documentary of a strong narrative concept: mixing the lives of two people that didn't know each other in live, but that after death got to know each other. One of them is filmmaker Howard Brookner, who died of AIDS in 1989 before seeing his breakout Hollywood movie finished. The movie was 'Bloodhounds of Broadway' a romantic comedy film starring Madonna and Matt Dillon. Before that the director was interested in showing the cultural revolution that was happening in the city at the time through cinema. This documentary was made by his nephew Aaron Brookner, who is trying to explore his uncle's life through the movie. Aaron will discover the films of Howard buried on William Burroughs' bunker and will try to find out more about him.
