Un mundo normal

The film follows the story of Ernesto, an eccentric theater director who receives the news of his mother's death. He learns that they intend to bury her, which was not her mother's wish. Determined to fulfill her will, he intends to steal the coffin to throw the body into the ocean as she wanted. Ernesto's daughter accompanies him to try to change his mind and not do that madness, but throughout the story she will will realize that her father is not as crazy as he seems and that being true to yourself is an important thing.

'Un mundo normal' is the newest film directed by Spanish filmmaker Achero Mañas, who won two Goya awards for Best original screenplay and Best debut director in the year 2000 for his work in 'El Bola'.

This new film stars Ernest Alterio, who plays Ernesto, a eccentric theatre director who is told that his mother has just passed away. On his way to the graveyard, Ernesto steals her casket as he embarks on a mission to take her corpse to the Ocean, just the way she asked before her death. Ernesto's daughter will join him on this journey as she tries change his mind. This father/daughter trip will teach Ernesto's daughter that sometimes its ok to be a bit crazy, as we all should be true to ourselves no matter what.
