Plot
Based on true events, 'Truth' reflects a biographical newsroom drama starring Cate Blanchett as Mary Mapes, former news producer from the evening news special 60 Minutes and Robert Redford as news anchor Dan Rather. A controversial blunder about former President of the United States George W. Bush's military report which stated that Bush faked his military records,so the critics and the Goberment accused the CBS of launching those baseless theories against Bush just to disrupt his re-election campaign. 'Truth' is James Vanderbilt directorial debut. He is best known as the screenwriter of David Fincher's 'Zodiac' and Marc Webb's 'The Amazing Spiderman'. Tpper Grace, Dennis Quaid and Elisabeth Moss complete the main cast.
