Trumbo

'Trumbo' is a biopic based on the real events that occurred in the life of the writer and screenwriter Dalton Trumbo. Jay Roach is the director of this film and it stars Bryan Cranston. He was considered one of the best screenwriters of the 40s. Trumbo was affiliated with the Communists, which led to an investigation involving him and nine other Hollywood's professionals headed by the House Un-American Activities Committee which forced him alongside the others , to testify and admit to the United States Congress that they were communist because they believed they were infiltrating communist propaganda in each of their projects. After his denial, he spent almost 10 months in jail but it destroyed his career forever.
