'Traumfabrik' tells the story of Emil Hellwerk (played by Dennis Mojen), a young Berliner who, in the summer of 1961, has recently been fired from the army. Desperate, he asks for help to his brother Alex (Ken Duken) who, as a stucco worker at the DEFA Studio Babelsberg, gets him a job as an extra. That's where we meet Milou (played by Emilia Schüle), a beautiful French girl, from whom he fells in love from the first moment he sees her. It all starts as a beautiful unexpected romance, but it ends up being a sincere summer love. When everything seems perfect, a wall will rise in the city that will separate them, the famous Berlin Wall. Emil, who can not stand being away from his beloved, decides to develop a dangerous plan to see her again. The films is about love, courage and family.

The romantic and dramatic feature film is directed by Martin Schreier, who had previously directed two other German films: 'CRO: Don't Believe the Hype' (2016) and 'Robin Hood' (2013), although none like this. It premiered on July 4, 2019 and raised $ 880,158 worldwide. In addition to the two protagonists and the actor who plays his brother, the cast adds three more Nikolai Kinski, Ellenie Salvo Gonzalez. Since its premiere, the film got quite positive reviews.
