An Emotional Ending
In November 2018, Tom Hanks claimed that the ending was emotional and "a moment in history." He also added that he couldn't face the crew while recording his final lines because he got emotional with them. This came around 6 weeks after co-star Tim Allen said he couldn't get through the last few scenes because of how emotional they were.
