Tori and Lokita

Tori and Lokita are two friends from Africa who now live in Belgium and face the worst conditions to survive. The boy and the teenager girl have arrived alone in the country and must overcome the difficult conditions of their exile. For them, friendship is not only based on helping each other pay debts with the mafia, regularize their situation or send money to their families, their relationship is also the feeling of not wanting to be without each other, the union of sibilings, to choose a family so you won't be alone in the dark. They console each other with a gesture, a word or a song, whatever is necessary to quench loneliness and anguish.

Directed by the Dardenne brothers (Jean-Pierrey Luc), 'Tori and Lokita' is a film agains the unjust and violent situation that the so-called 'menas' suffer throughout Europe. According to the filmmakers, they were inspired by thriller and adventure films. They chose a non-professional actor and actress, Pablo Schils and Joely Mbundu, as main stars, and the cast is completed by Alban Ukaj, Tijmen Govaerts, Charlotte De Bruyne, Nadège Ouedraogo and Marc Zinga. The Dardennes also signed the script, which was filmed in Belgium, in the Liège and Condroz region.

The desire of the directors when the public finishes seeing the film is that they experience a feeling of empathy and also rebellion against social injustices.
