Time to love

In 1966, the Turkish filmmaker Metin Erksan makes his last film before he dies and it remains hidden until MUBI recovers it and restores it for the occasion of the tenth anniversary of the death of its director, allowing 'Time to love' to reach the big screen 57 years later.

Set in the Princes' Islands, south of Istanbul (Turkey), where the weather is bad: rainy and cold days are gray and full of nostalgia. Halil, a poor but proud artist gets a job as a painter in one of the island's chalets. In the house he sees a photograph of a beautiful and perfect woman and instantly falls in love with her. When he finally has the opportunity to meet the woman he has been observing for months, he doubts what to do because he does not want his love, unlimited, to end.

'Time to love' presents a different love story that will captivate the viewer. Directed and produced by Metin Erksan, the film follows the script written by the director himself along with Kemal Demirel with photography by Megü Yegin. Starring Müsfik Kenter, Sema Özcan, Süleyman Tekcan and accompanied by the music of Metin Bükey.

Launched the year of its production on the turkish television, the film has been premiere at the Lyon festival and it will be proyected on the spanish cinemas in original version with spanish subtitles.
