Plot
Franck is a Parisian firefighter who puts his life on the line on a daily basis to save others in a profession that, for all its risks, he enjoys and is completely dedicated to. Franck lives at the fire station with his wife, whether they're both happily settled into their routines in which he can enjoy the job he is so passionate about and come home to her at the end of the day. In an event that will change his life forever and for the better, his wife gives birth to twins. Just as Franck feels invincible, he is called to the scene of a brutal blaze and, in his efforts to save his men, is injured in a heroic action that threatens to tear down the perfect world he has spent so long residing in. Following the incident, Franck wakes up in hospital and realises that he must learn to live again whilst also accepting that the life he learns to lead will be nothing like the one he left behind. What is more, he must learn to accept help and how he, too, sometimes needs to be saved rather than just doing the saving.
'Through the Fire' is a touching story of overcoming tragedy that managed to win over more than a million spectators in cinemas in France. The film stars the winner of César Pierre Niney ("The Perfect Man") and the three-time César Anaïs Demoustier nominee ("The Snows of Kilimanjaro").
