The Young Lovers

Fifteen years after their first meeting, Shauna and Pierre meet again in the middle of a hospital corridor. She is an elegant retired architect. He, on the other hand, is a happily married doctor. Opposed but mesmerized by each other, they reconnect and begin an affair. However, they are haunted by the specter of their age difference, as she is 71 and he is 45. Widowed, mother and grandmother, Shauna needs to reaffirm that she is a full woman after all.

The film was directed by Carine Tardieu ('Just to Be Sure') with a screenplay signed by Agnès de Sacy, Sólveig Anspach and Carine Tardieu himself, with the collaboration of Raphaële Moussafir. The story is based on an original idea by Sólveig Anspach. The cast is headed by Fanny Ardant as Shauna and Melvil Poupaud as Pierre. Both will share the screen with Cécile de France, Florence Loiret Caille, Sarah Henochsberg, Manda Touré, Julia Gomez, Elsa Bouchain, Corey McKinley, Olenka Ilunga and Sharif Andoura, among others.

On the other hand, the film was produced by Ex Nihilo and Karé Productions, although many companies co-produced the film, from France 2 Cinéma to Artémis Productions. With the collaboration of Canal+, Ciné+, Indéfilms 9, Cofimage 31, SofiTVCiné 8 and Cinécap 4, among others.
