Plot
Udayan Prasad directs 'The Yellow Handkerchief' a romantic drama centered on the inner journey of that it's three protagonists make while driving through Louisiana. The unsecure Gordi (Eddie Redmayne), the attractive Martine (Kristen Stewart), and the ex-convict Brett (William Hurt) form a quirky trio of lonely strangers whose existence changes when they decide to embark on this adventure together. On the way Brett unravels his past opening his heart to his travel companions that discover that he was in prison and how much he misses May (Maria Bello), the woman he left behind.
Erin Dignam write this adaptation of the urban myth published by Pete Hamill in 1971 that tells the story of a fresh out of jail inmate who come home expecting to see a yellow handkerchief hanging on the door, which would mean that his wife will have him back.
