The Wild Robot

'The Wild Robot' is the new film from DreamWorks Animation, based on the award-winning work by Peter Brown. Directed and written by Chris Sanders, Oscar nominee for 'How to Train Your Dragon', 'Lilo & Stitch' and 'The Croods', premieres in Spain on October 11, 2024 from from Universal Pictures.

The story follows Roz, a robot who is shipwrecked on an uninhabited island and must adapt to her environment, forming bonds with the local animals and adopting an orphaned goose. The original voice cast includes Lupita Nyong'o as Roz, Pedro Pascal as the fox Fink, Catherine O'Hara as the opossum Pinktail, Bill Nighy as the goose Longneck, Kit Connor as the goose Brightbill and Stephanie Hsu as the Vontra robot. Mark Hamill, Matt Berry and Ving Rhames also star.

'The Wild Robot' is a story about self-discovery, the relationship between technology and nature, and the connection with other living beings. In addition, Sanders has Jeff Hermann as producer (previously in charge of 'The Boss Baby: Family Business' and co-producer of the 'Kung Fu Panda' saga).

Peter Brown's original novel, published in 2016, reached #1 on The New York Times bestseller list and gave rise to a trilogy. Brown is the recipient of multiple awards, including the Caldecott Honor and the Horn Book Award.
