Plot
British comedy directed by Charles Crichton ('A Fish Called Wanda', 'He Who Rides a Tiger', 'The Third Secret', 'The Battle of the Sexes') and written by T.E.B. Clarke.
'The Titfield Thunderbolt' tells the story of a small town mobilized to prevent the closure of a railway station. Moved by desperation, the inhabitants of the area join forces and decided to maintain the line for their own account.
'The Titfield Thunderbolt' is a choral film which builds an acid and funny portrait of the society of the time thanks to the performances of actors such as Stanley Holloway, George Relph, Naunton Wayne, John Gregson Godfrey Tearle or Hugh Griffith. The original soundtrack is composed by Georges Auric.
