Based on the theatrical text of Spanish dramaturge Alfredo Sanzol, 'The Tenderness' is a romantic comedy that tells the story of a mage Queen and her two princess daughters who travel in the Indian Fleet to get marry in marriages arranged by the King. The Emerald Queen hates men because they've always conditioned her life, so she's not willing to let her daughters suffer the same destiny. When the Fleet goes near an island that the Queen thinks is desserted, she invokes an storm that sinks the ship. Her plan is to stay there forever with her daughters so they don't see a man ever again in their lives. The problem is, 20 years ago a woodsman and his sons arrived there, running away so they wouldn't see a woman ever again. When they realize, the Queen and her daughters dress up as men to protect themselves.
The film stars Emma Suarez ('Josefina'), Gonzalo de Castro ('La familia perfecta'), Alexandra Jiménez ('Bajo terapia'), Fernando Guallar ('El juego de las llaves'), Anna Moliner ('Cable Girls') and Carlos Cuevas ('Donde caben dos'). Directed by Vicente Villanueva ('Toc Toc'), is a Hispanic-Dominican co-production by Pris&Batty, La Ternura la película A.I.E, and Bahía Carey in the Dominican part; and with the participation of RTVE y Movistar+.
