The Taste of Things

Eugénie has been working for 20 years as an assistant to the renowned chef Dodin. After so many years of learning from him, helping him, and mutual admiration, a romantic relationship has developed between them.

As a result of this relationship, the most delicious dishes are created, which astonish everyone, including experts. Eugénie has never wanted to marry Dodin, as she wants to be free, which leads Dodin to cook for her, something he had never done before.

The love story entwined with French cuisine depicted in this film stars Juliette Binoche, known for her appearances in 'Chocolate' and 'The English Patient', and the three-time Cesar Award-winning actor Benoît Magimel, who appears in 'Pacifiction', 'Little White Lies', and 'The Piano Teacher'.

The cast also includes Emmanuel Salinger, Patrick d'Assumçao, Galatéa Bellugi, Jan Hammenecker, Frédéric Fisbach, Bonnie Chagneau-Ravoire, among others. The film has the participation of the Best Chef of the World in 2015, Pierre Gafnaire, who has carry away the whole choreography of cooking, gestures, sound of the food...
