The Successor

On March 22, it will be released in theaters 'The Successor' by Xavier Legrand, winner of best director at the 2017 Venice Film Festival with his first film 'Shared Custody', which also awarded him four César awards and the Audience Award at the San Sebastián Festival. Now, for his second feature film, he presents a thriller full of unexpected twists with Marc-André Grondin and Yves Jacques as protagonists.

'The Successor' follows Ellias Barnès, a 30-year-old young man who has just landed the position of artistic director at one of the most famous fashion houses in Paris. With the pressure of his new job he begins to feel pain in his chest and from one day to the next he is required to organize the funeral of his father in Montreal. Apparently he has left his successor an inheritance worse than even a slight heart problem.

Based on the novel by Alexandre Postel, 'Le Successeur', it is a co-production between France, Canada and Belgium, with the participation of KG Productions, Stenola Productions and Metafilms as producers and Dominick Parenteau-Lebeuf as co-writer with Legrand and Postel.

Completing the cast Marie-France Lambert as Christine Barnès, Jean-Luc Jacquot as Claude Barnès, Louis Champagne as Pierre-Luc, Anne-Elisabeth Bossém as Minna Di Salvio, Blandine Bury as Laetitia Alvarès, Mireille Naggar like Marie-Odile and a long list of models who cross the catwalk between the protagonist's nerves.
