The Star

Bo is a small but brave donkey who lives in a village. There, Bo fantasizes about living adventures away from his daily grind at the mill. One day he dares to fulfill his fantasies and goes on a trip. Then he meets Ruth, an adorable sheep who has lost his flock, and Davie, an ambitious dove. Together they will follow a very special star and will meet three camels and other strange animals. All will become the unknown heroes of the first Christmas.

The film is direct by Timothy Reckhart (Head Over Heels), who was nominated for an Oscar for Best Animated Short. The cast of vocals in the original version are actors by Steven Yeun (The Walking Dead), Aidy Bryant (Horace and Pete), Keegan-Michael Key, Tracy Morgan (Rockefeller Plaza), Anthony Anderson Black-ish), Oprah Winfrey (Selma), Gina Rodriguez (Black Tide), Kris Kristofferson (Texas Rising) and Christopher Plummer (Remember).
