The Snow Queen

The Russian animation film 'The Snow Queen' is a family adventure based on the popular Hans Christian Andersen tale. This adaptation of the famous Russian fable centers on the frozen world created by The Snow Queen, an evil character who, through all that ice, intended to put and end to the warm souls of human beings. Only one person can deal with it: the Vegard Master. When the Snow Queen finds out she decides to end the teacher and his wife's life, who end up being swept by the polar wind by the hand of this dangerous and cold ruler. Kai and Gerda, the theacher's childrens, managed to escape and finds shelter, avoiding the clutches of the Queen. They remain hidden until Orm, the vassal of the Queen discovers them and kidnaps Kai, the heir of the Master skills and the only one able to stop the winter. Gerda embarks in an adventure with her pet Luta in order to save her brother and recover the heat for all mankind.
