The Radio Amateur

Nikolas is a young man with autism with many social problems who has recently lost his mother. After his death, Nikolas decides to return to the hometown where he grew up to reflect, and makes the decision to try to reach the high seas in just two days. Upon arriving home, he meets Ane, a childhood friend who will be the only one in town who tries to help Nikolas in his personal mission. This collaboration will cause the forging of a new friendship between the two. However, Niko's problems understanding others and his obsession with proving his worth at all times will endanger his life and force his destiny. The film is written and directed by Iker Elorrieta in what will be his first film. For his first film, the director has Aitor Etxebarria as composer and Elorrieta himself as director of photography. The cast is made up of Falco Cabo, Usue Álvarez, Jaime Adalid, Pedro Arnáez, Arantxa Galíndez and Javier Cañón. The film is produced by Nanu Films and Pantoma Films while distribution in Spain is handled by Begin Again Films. It had its preview in Spain in the Zinemira section of the San Sebastian Festival 2021.
