'The Phantom of Liberty' is a movie composed of overlapping histories in a hypothetical world in which things work in a scandalous and bizarre way. In this universe, we'll meet, among other characters, a necrophiliac soldier able to desecrate graves, a sniper who is freed by his crimes, a married couple who thinks that a few postcards of Paris are obscene or a man who contemplates different animals going through his house.
'The Phantom of Liberty', considered one of the best surreal comedies of all time, mocks the conventions fears and taboos of the bourgeoisie talking about controversial and sensitive themes as sex, religion and ambition.
