The Parenting

'The Parenting' is a comedy where humor and horror come together. Rohan (Nik Dodani) and Josh (Brandon Flynn) are a young couple planning a perfect weekend getaway to the countryside to introduce their parents. Tension erupts between both families. On one side are Sharon and Frank, who are more traditional, and on the other are Liddy and Cliff, who maintain a more relaxed attitude. In the midst of this conflict, the families soon realize that the house they are staying in, managed by the eccentric local Brenda, is haunted. This is due to a 400-year-old poltergeist.

Things get complicated when one of the parents becomes completely possessed. From that moment on, everything depends on the young couple and Sara, their meddlesome best friend. Together, the three will try to unite the families in order to stop the evil entity once and for all.

This film directed by Craig Johnson ('The Skeleton Twins') stars Nik Dodani ('Atypical') and Brandon Flynn ('13 Reasons Why'). Alongside them are Brian Cox ('Succession'), Edie Falco ('The Sopranos'), Lisa Kudrow ('Friends'), Dean Norris ('Breaking Bad'), Parker Posey ('The White Lotus'), Vivian Bang ('Maybe Forever'), and others. The screenplay is by Ken Sublette ('Lucky').
