The Nun II

France, 1956. A priest is murdered and seems like evil is expanding. Sister Irene is face to face once more with a demonic force.

'The Nun II' is the second installment after 'The Nun' (2018), in which Sister Irene was sent with a priest to investigate the death of a young nun in Romania and they ended up facing Valak, the most powerful demon in the Warren universe. In this case Corin Hardy leaves the direction of the sequel to Michael Chaves, who already directed 'La Llorona' and 'The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It'. In this occasion James Wan is not screenwriter but is producer. The script of 'The Nun II' is written by Akela Cooper, Gary Dauberman and Ian Goldber.

Repeating in her protagonist role is Taissa Farmiga, younger sister of Vera Farmiga (Lorraine Warren in the franchise), who's also appeared in 'American Horror Story' and 'The Bling Ring'. Coming back is also Bonnie Aarons with her stelar interpretation as the demon Valak that has also appeared in 'The Conjuring 2' and 'Annabelle: Creation'. New faces are Storm Reid, who reached the spotlight with 'Euphoria' and has been in an episode of 'The Last of Us', and Anna Popplewell ('The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe') and Katwlyn Rose Downey ('The Princess').
