Plot
1979, Iran. The film narrates the struggles of Mohammad Alaghemand, an anthropologist and university lecturer, and his daughter, Sayeh, before, during, and after, cultural revolution in Iran in 1979. Sayeh works at the emergency department in the hospital, where suicidal patients who had tried to end their lives frequently appear through drugs ingestion. As the story goes on, it is possible to see haw Sayeh patients decide to kill themselves because of different reasons that vary, particularly before and after the revolution. One of the patients ends up falling in love with her, which, even whether it is an impossible love, turns to be the unique reason for the boy to keep living. The film is a clear critic to anti-intellectualism regime.
