The Man Without Guilt

Angela's husband has died, a victim of a disease caused by asbestos, a component of fibrocement (construction material) that can cause respiratory damage and disease if you have a prolonged exposure period. For her, Gorian, the man her husband worked for is the culprit, for having authorized the use of asbestos, being fully aware of the effects it could have on its employees. Years later, Gorian is admitted to the hospital where Angela works as a cleaner after suffering a stroke. Unable to walk or speak, Angela sees an opportunity for revenge by offering her help to care for Gorian.

Ivan Gergolet, an Italian filmmaker who debuts for the first time in a fiction feature film, directs and signs 'The Man Without Guilt', after almost ten years directing documentaries ('Dancing with Maria'). The film is an Italian and Slovenian production. It stars almost entirely an Italian cast consisting of Valentina Carnelutti ('Locas de Alegria') as Ángela, Paolo Rossi ('Appunti di un venditore di donne'), Giusi Merli ('The Great Beauty'), A Rossilivi ('L'intrepido'), Alessandro Bandini ('Rapito') among others, but with the Slovenian actor, Branko Zavrsan ('Tir') as Gorian, the main character. The film is produced by Miha Cernec, Boris T. Matic and Lana Matic among others.
