The Man and the Dog

Our main character is a man called Manuel, who has lower intelectual capacities than the rest of people since he was born and lives in a village from Galicia (Spain). He has never recalled getting out of his village after his sixty eight years of life. He lives with his dear dog after his daughter passed away and they are inseparable. After the last neighbor in the village dies, he is the last person living there. When his dog has an accident, Manuel decides to get out of his hometown and go to the city, an unknown territory for him.

Manuel is looking for a veterinary to save his pet in a mysterious territory. In his search for the salvation of his dog, he meets a twenty five-year-old girl named Paula, who is running away from an unstructured home in search of freedom. Both of them will turn into very close friends who are united by the solitude that they share. Together, they will discover that Marta, Manuel's daughter, didn't died when she was a kid, like Manuel thought.

Directed and written by Ángel de la cruz and a cast starred by Manuel Manquiña, Paula Chaves and Estíbaliz Veiga. Produced by Ángel de la Cruz, Ana Díaz, Jose Montero and Juan Manuel Tomás. The cast is completed with Vicente Montoto, Gonzalo Uriarte, Denis Gómez and Isabel Blanco.
