Plot

'The Laws of the Border' is a film that takes us back to the summer of 1978 to tell us the story of Ignacio Cañas. Ignacio is a seventeen-year-old student who lives in the city of Gerona. He is characterized by being a little bit introvert and misfit. Suddenly, one day he runs into two young criminals in the Chinese neighborhood of the city. They are Zarco and Tere, who will end up pushing Ignacio into a series of different crimes, that includes robberies and thefts of all kind that will take place throughout the summer. All these experiences that Ignacio will go through during this time, will change his life forever and will help him to grow up and getting closer to adulthood. In order to do this, this young student from Gerona will have to face the consequences of constantly crossing the border between good and evil, as well as the borders that separates justice and injustice.

The film is directed by Daniel Monzon ('El Niño', 'Yucatán'), and is based on the novel with the same name written by Javier Ruescas. The cast includes Marcos Ruiz (''Primos', Madres, amor y vida'). Chechu Salgado ('Patria'), Begoña Vargas ('Malasaña 32'), Pep Tosar ('Mientras dure la guerra'), Daniel Ibáñez ('La Valla') and Guillermo Lasheras ('White Lines').
