The Love Witch

This terror comedy, written and directed by Anna Biller, is inspired in 1960s pulp novels and Technicolor melodramas. Samantha Robinson plays Elaine, young and beautiful witch who is determined to find a love. For getting it, she dedicates all her time in her Victorian and gothic apartment to make and spell potions. Then she seduces them. Her work is works very well. After some time, she finally meets the man of her dreams. But her desperation to be loved will take her to insanity and murder. This film tries to explore some female fantasy and pathological narcissism. The cast is completed by Gian Keys, Laura Waddell, Jeffrey Vincent Parise and Robert Seeley, among others.
