Plot
February 1994, a man disappears in Ripollès without an apparent reason. Martí is a normal person, a little shy but not a madman or rare. One morning he decides to go to the woods and get lost in it beginning a survival life. The first few weeks he will feed on animals and wild fruits but soon he finds herself weak and powerless so he should dig in nearby landfills. A cave becomes in his new home after being nomadic for a while. He will live as prehistoric man, hunting, gathering and making weapons with wood and stones. Her life will be quiet away from the bustle of urban life but soon Martí's life will be altered when someone finds her den.

The director, Christophe Farnarier, didn't look for a real actor to this film, because he didn't want an interpretation. Therefore, he choose a man who lives foreign to the cinema world, but who wanted to live the Miguel Mérida real experience.

'The Lost Man' tells the story of Miguel Merida, a men who climbs the Sierra Sur with his shotgun to kill himself, but he didn't have de nerve to do it neither back to home, so he stays there over fourteen years.
