Plot
Ireland, 1929. Rachel and Edward, two Irish twin orphans share a strange existence at their family house in Ireland. Each night, their property becomes the domain of a sinister presence that enforces three rules upon the siblings: they must be in bed by midnight, the may not let an outsider stay at home, if one attempts to escape, the life of the other would be placed in jeopardy. Rachel wants to leave the house, change her destiny and not end up like her parents did. The siblings are tied to the house because of something horrible their ancestors did. They are different from the ordinary people, so the people in the area avoids them. The only place they feel safe in is that house that also puts them in terrible danger.
All these rules would be broken with the return of Sean, a war veteran who is immediately drawn to the mysterious Rachel.
'The lodgers' is directed by Brian O'Malley ('Let Us Prey') and David Turpin is in charge of the script. The cast includes Charlotte Vega ('The bookshop'), Bill Milner ('Dunkirk'), Eugene Simon ('Juego de Tronos'), and David Bradley ('Broadchurch'). Produced by Epic Pictures and Tailored Films.
