Plot
Emmett Brickowski (Chris Pratt) and his friends are back, and they're on the hunt for yet more adventures. 'The LEGO film 2' is the sequel to the blockbuster animated film inspired by the famous yellow plastic building blocks that Warner successfully transformed from a Danish toy brand into a big screen franchise. After 'Batman: The LEGO movie' and 'The LEGO Ninjago film', the crew is back with the second instalment the saga.
Set shortly after the events of the first film, the people of Bricksburg are visited by aliens from the faraway planet Duplo. The Duplos ravage Bricksburg, undeterred by the attempts of Lucy (Elizabeth Banks) to stop them. Emmett and Lucy call on some old friends such as Batman (Will Arnett) to help when President Business (Will Ferrell) seems more interested in golf than in saving the city. Emmett and his friends must travel through space, dreams and many lego cities in order to prevent the city from descending into Emmett's dark vision of a phenomenon called Ourmamageddon.
Mike Mitchell directs this long-awaited next instalment of the series. Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, return for the sequel and, along with Raphael Bob-Waksberg and Michelle Morgan, wrote script. Forming the rest of the cast are Tiffany Haddish, Stephanie Beatriz and Nick Offerman.
