The Last Showgirl

The story of an experienced dancer (Shelly) who is forced to plan her future when her show abruptly closes after a long 30-year career. At 50 years old and as a middle-aged dancer, doubts about what to do next inevitably arise. At the same time, as a mother, she struggles to repair the tense relationship she has with her daughter due to the fact that she often took a backseat in her life.

'The Last Showgirl' marks for many the rebirth of Pamela Anderson, who brings Shelly to life. Her work on this project has been critically acclaimed, and many say it could earn her first Oscar. Alongside her are other big names such as Brenda Song, best known for her role in the Disney's series 'The Suite Life of Zack & Cody' and in 'Dollface', Kiernan Shipka, who recently starred in 'Sweethearts', Dave Bautista, whom we have seen in 'Dune: Part Two' and in the 'Guardians of the Galaxy' trilogy, and Oscar winner for Best Supporting Actress for her performance in 'Everything Everywhere All at Once', Jamie Lee Curtis, among others.

The film is directed by Gia Coppola, granddaughter of the renowned filmmaker Francis Ford Coppola. This becomes the fourth feature film for the young director after 'Palo Alto', 'Mainstream', and 'The Seven Faces of Jane'.
