The Journey

Iraqi film that places the story on December 30, 2006, the first day of Eid al-Adha, one of the most sacred Muslim festivities, at which time the city of Baghdad is celebrating the reopening of its train station. Sara enters the station with the intention of perpetrating an unthinkable act, a suicide attack. He seems to hesitate at the prospect of detonating the bomb, but is determined to get to the end. However, his plans are altered by Salam, a seductive seller, which makes Sara rethink her convictions, appealing to her humanity. After a series of events, Salam ends up as a hostage of Sara, and tries to dissuade her from going ahead. But is Sara willing to listen?
