Trivia
Like a fairy tale
The LA Times called the film "a dark fairy tale".
20 seconds that changes everything
For the U.S release the trailer was re-cut from the original to make it look like a horror, whereas the UK trailer is 20 seconds longer and shows a slow burn folk thriller.
A haunted song
The slogan of the film is "Their song will haunt you". In the Greek mythology, the mermaids used their beautiful voices to trick the sailors and to drown them in the deep sea.
