The House of Snails

Based on the bestselling novel of the same name, the film is more than a psychological thriller, it is the initiatory journey of Antonio Prieto, a writer who decides to spend the summer in a town in the Sierra de Málaga, a place where he longs to find tranquility and peace you need your inspiration for your next novel. Once there he meets a woman for whom he will feel an instant attraction named Berta and other peculiar characters that he decides to investigate and put on paper.

Antonio then begins to discover the many secrets and a disturbing hidden legend that the local people keep. In those days he will live a reality that will make him realize that, sometimes, the truth far exceeds the myths ...

'La casa del caracol' stars Javier Rey and Paz Vega, along with the Peruvian Carlos Alcántara. It also features the little Luna Fulgencio ('There is no more than one father)' and the film debut of Ava Salazar, daughter of Paz Vega. The cast is completed by Norma Martínez, Pedro Casablanc, Elvira Mínguez, Vicente Vergara, Jesús Carroza and Fernando Tejero in a special collaboration. The film has a script signed by the original author of the book, Sandra García Nieto, and is the debut of the Andalusian novel director Macarena Astorga.
