Plot
Based on the 2015 bestseller 'The Hidden Life of the Trees' by Peter Wohlleben, a forest ranger and nature lover, comes to cinemas his long-awaited adaptation 'The Hidden Life of Trees'. Jörg Adolph, considered one of the best documentary directors in Germany, is responsible for this version. The work is about fascinating stories about the skills of trees, scientific discoveries on the subject and Wershofen?s experiences in forests (for example, his trip to Sweden to see the oldest tree in the world). , film producer Friederich Oetker confessed, "To be honest, I only read it after they gave it to me a second time. But then only once. I was incredibly impressed by the way Peter Wohlleben took the reader by the hand and led him through the forest. It was like a guided tour, a walk through the forest. Although it covers such large areas of Germany, the forest is seen as a mysterious place. Very few people have a real relationship and access to it. Wohlleben wrote a forest guide as Jacques Cousteau once did for the ocean. The film has become more political than I would have thought at first, , because the German forest has become on a political issue. Apart from that, 'The Hidden Life of Trees' has turned out to be such and as I had imagined".
