The heart of Europe

Because of the lockdown, the film director Julián Pintos is locked up with his alter ego and his demons due to the global quarantine caused by a pandemic that is devastating the planet in the 21st century. Together, both of them will embark on an introspective journey where they will meet multiple characters, including the mysterious Silver Mask and the two disturbing theater masks, muses of comedy and tragedy, embodied and unfolded in Esther and Diana. All of them will be trapped in a time tunnel and, as the only way out, they will try to find the heart of Europe by recalling their respective pasts connected to each other with the old Continent, thus allowing the most hidden and repressed fears of each of them to come out. 'El corazón de Europa' is directed by Juan Pinzás and is the sequel to 'El vientre de Europa', a 2017 film also directed by Julián Pintos. The cast is made up of Elke Krüger, Katherine Sorel, María Villar and Juan Pinzás himself. It is an overwhelming oneiric story about European auteur cinema. In command of the production are Pilar Sueiro, Friedrich Hofer and Angie Pereira. The production companies include Abstract Films, Atlántico Films and Cinema Independiente in a Spain-Germany-France-Italy-UK co-production.
