Plot
The movie explores the last days of Sharon Tate (Hilary Duff) before she was murdered by the Manson family. The plot settles around an urban legend. Rumors tells that the actress had nightmare about the slaughter before it happened. The journalist Dick Kleiner wrote about this story in the article called 'Sharon Tate's Preview of Murder'. This text has coments of Sharon Tates about how she suffered premonitions of people being tide up and slain. Among these was Jay Sebrig (Jonathan Bennett), Tate's friend who was also a victim of Tex Watson (Tyler Johnson) and the rest of Charles Manson's followers. The article inspires a horror thriller which portraits these premonitions. Blood and jump scares are the main ingredients of a film based in one of the most horrifying cases of Hollywood's history.
'The Haunting of Sharon Tate' is written, produced and directed by Daniel Farrands ('The Amityville Murders', 'The Murder of Nicole Brown Simpson'). This filmmaker
is specialized in B series horror movies and has a cast lead by Hilary Duff ('Lizzie McGuire', 'Gossip Girl') as Sharon Tate. The rest are Jonathan Bennett ('Mean Girls', 'A Dogwalker's Christmas Tale'), Lydia Hearst ('Between Worlds', 'Z Nation'), Pawel Szajda ('Imperium', 'The enemy within') y Tyler Johnson ('The Young and the Restless', 'The Bachelor Next Door').

Without the support of the family
Actress Sharon Tate's sister Debra Tate, has stated she does not support the Hilary Duff movie about her sister's life. Debra said, "It's been exploitative since day one. It's been the case since the media went crazy and has perpetuated mistruths making things even more salacious. It's now morphed into something that is more fictionalized than truth at this point. To celebrate the killers and the darkest portion of society as being sexy or acceptable in any way, shape or form is just perpetuating the worst of our society. I am vehemently opposed to anything that does that. I've been dealing with this for 50 years now. We need to stop this".
