Plot
This Netflix documentary get the public closer to the Cambridge Analytics scandal that jumped worldwide during 2018. The private company of Cambridge Analytics was founded in 2013 and was responsible for analyzing data granted by users to social networks or different internet portals with the aim of knowing more about people's customs for political campaigns in the United States such as conflicts with Ted Cruz in 2015 or Donald Trump in 2016.
The problem came when several media such as The New York Times or The Guardian accused this company of obtaining personal data from Facebook users and using them to create political announcements during the 2016 presidential elections, as well as for the Brexit voting United Kingdom, in order to manipulate Internet users and make them think, love and hate what they wanted.
This information was revealed by one of the company's own employees, that's where it all began.
Karim Amer and Jehane Noujaim direct this documentary feature film, and for that they have people involved in it from every possible point of view.
