The Gospel According to André

This documentary directed by Kate Novack focuses on the figure of André Leon Talley, an eminence in the world of fashion. With 'The Gospel According to André', the director introduces us to a journey of discovery, from the beginnings of André, of his youth, until he become an important figure in the world of fashion. Novak's film establishes connections between the elegance of the artist's grandmother and the Black Church of his youth. Through various archive images, Novak and André present us iconic moments in the history of fashion. In addition, the film features comments from various fashion members such as Anna Wintour, Marc Jacobs, Karl Lagerfeld, Naomi Campbell, Will.i.am, Divine and Tom Ford.
