The Girl on the Train

Jeanne (Emilie Dequenne) is an unemployed young woman with little interest in job hunting and the same success. Her mother Louise (Catherine Deneuve), who works as a nanny, wants to do everything in her power to help. So she decides to resume the relationship with a former boyfriend who now runs a law firm. Samuel (Michel Blanc), Louise's ex lover, moves in a much different world than the one Jeanne lives in, but a lie that Jeanne make up, not only will cause the desired effect, but will spread one of the most politicized that France has seen in recent years.

The film directed by André Téchiné ('Changing Times', 'The Witnesses'), is based on a screenplay written by Téchiné himself in collaboration with Odile Barski and Jean -Marie Besset.
