Plot
The French Dispatch presents us a love declaration to the journalist office, through a North American redaction located at a fictional city of the 20th century on France. The movie connects between them three stories so different and which are separated by five different decades, inspired by the publications of the last issue of this newspaper. All of those stories have as a stage the fictional French locality where this newspaper is located. In this way, the production shows itself as an opened love letter to the journalism on the big screen, through those different situations and stories based on the publications of the magazine called 'The French Dispatch'.
The movie is the new cinematographic project of director Wes Anderson ('Isle of Dogs', 'The Grand Budapest Hotel') and joins habitual Anderson collaborators like Bill Murray, Frances McDormand or Tilda Swinton. It will also feature actors and actress like Benicio del Toro, Jeffrey Wright, Adrien Brody, Léa Seydoux, Lyna Koudri, Mathieu Amalric, Stephen Park, Timothée Chalamet or Saoirse Ronan. On the production works, the film is produced by Scott Rudin, the man responsible of titles like 'No Country for Old Men', 'The Social Network', 'The Truman Show' or, the most recent, 'Lady Bird'.
