The Flamenco Guitar of Yerai Cortés

C. Tangana is dazzled when he meets Yerai Cortés and the musical talent he has for flamenco. Furthermore, Tangana sees that the guitarist also has a family story that deserves to be told. Cortés is at a midpoint in flamenco where he is accepted by all the professionals dedicated to this musical genre, both by the most traditional neighborhood artists and by the more modern artists in the industry who have created a new wave of which he is now a part. Thus, the guitarist and director decide to embark on a journey to document the creation of an album characterized by songs with great sadness that will force the musician to confront an old family secret that seemed buried and from which he will take advantage to resolve his relationship with his parents.

This film marks the directorial debut of Antón Álvarez, better known as C. Tangana, and results in a documentary that develops how the experiences of a musician are and how through those experiences, a story of many destinies can be constructed, among which are passion, unconditional love, and forgiveness. This film, which opened the New Directors section of the San Sebastián Festival, has received good reviews, describing it as a good documentary for flamenco lovers.
