Jessica Chastain stars in 'The Eyes of Tammy Faye', biopic about a televangelist who created the biggest net of religious TV channels in the world during the 70s and 80s. Her media empire got so big that she had her own theme park. On screen, Tammy Faye Bakker and her husband, Jim Bakker, were the perfect couple that filled the waves with messages of love and respect. But off camera their lives were filled with scandal and rivalries, and economic problems, that began destroying a business that seemed to have no limits.

Michael Showalter ('The Big Sick') is the director of 'The Eyes of Tammy Faye', with a script from Abe Sylvia ('Dead To Me'). The film is based on a documentary with the same title by Fenton Bailey and Randy Barbato. Jessica Chastain won the Concha de Plata for the best main performance at the San Sebastián Film Festival. Andrew Garfield plays her husband, Jim Bakker. The cast also features Cherry Jones, Vincent D'Onofrio, Mark Wystrach, Sam Jaeger, Lois Cancelmi, Gabriel Olds, Fredric Lehne and Chandler Head as the young Tammy Faye.
