Plot

'The Emperor's nightingale' is an animation film made by the stop-motion technique in 1948 based on a story from one of the greatest authors of folk tales of the world: Hans Christian Andersen. This animated film focuses on a Chinese Emperor who thinks that the nightingale's singing is one of the most beautiful things from his Empire so he commands to bring a real nightingale so he could hear its singing. But one day, after he received a mechanical nightingale who could reproduce the same sound, he decided to get rid of it and leave it in the woods. But after his mechanical nightingale broke down he fell deathly ill, the real nightingale saves him with his singing and teaches him to uprise against his shallow world.
