The electric state

'The Electric State' is a film set in a retro-futuristic alternative version of the 90s that falls within the adventure genre. Michelle, an orphaned teenager who bases her life on trying to survive in a society where a group of robots that resemble cartoons and pets, which at one time served humans, now live in exile after a failed uprising. One night, she receives a visit from Cosmo, a sweet and mysterious robot, and everything Michelle thought she knew changes abruptly. It seems that the robot is controlled by Christopher, the protagonist's younger brother whom she believed to be dead.

With this new information, she embarks on an adventure with the goal of finding her brother. To do this, she travels through the southwestern United States alongside Cosmo and Keats, a small-time smuggler, and Herman, the robot that accompanies him. Michelle and Keats find strange allies in the Exclusion Zone with whom they discover that what lies behind Christopher's disappearance is more sinister than they expected.

Directed by the Russo brothers, known for 'Avengers: Endgame' and starring Millie Bobby Brown ('Stranger Things') and Chris Pratt ('Guardians of the Galaxy'), the film promises a journey full of adventures for both characters, who will be accompanied at all times by their trusted robots.
