The Elderly

The film follows the life of Manuel, a old man who has lost his wife after and unexpected suicide. He is forced to move to his son's house, with him and his family. Strange things happen to Manuel every day. The old man hears voices and has conversations with strange presences.The family begins to worry, especially Mario's wife, Lena. She wants to kick him out of house because she thinks something horrible is going to happen. Only Laia, the teenage daughter of Mario and Lena, seems to believe her grandfather. Time goes by and it gets worse and worse, the things that happen to Manuel are weirder than ever. Laia begins to doubt about her grandfather. Manuel has lost his mind, and now the coexistence is a problem of life or death.

The film stars by Zorión Eguileor as Manuel, who has won the Best Male Performance Award during the International Fantasy Film Festival in Montreal for his role in 'The Ederly'. The rest of the cast is completed by Irene Anula as Lena, Gustavo Salmerón as Mario, Paula Gallego as Naia, Juan Acedo and Ángela López Garmonal. The movie is directed by Raul Cerezo and Fernando González Gómez. 'The Ederly' will participate in October in the Official Competition Section of the 55th edition of the International Fantastic Film Festival of Catalonia Sitges 2022.
