The Daughter

'The Daughter' is an Australian film starring Geoffrey Rush, Paul Schneider, Miranda Otto and Sam Neill. This drama is slightly based on Henrik Ibsen's play 'The Wild Duck' is directed by Simon Stone who already made an adaptation of the play in 2011, making it his debut as a cinematographic director.

The film is focused on Christian, a man who's been living in America for a few years and has to flight back to his hometown in Australia to attend and be the best man on his father's wedding with the last housekeeper of his family's residency. While he's enjoying the remaining days to his father's wedding, he will meet old family friends that made him who he is and they will uncover some old secrets from his relatives.
