Plot
After 'Táu', director Daniel Castro Zimbrón brings 'Las tinieblas', his second film. The story is located in a mysterious forest always covered by a dense fog. Gustavo has hidden his three children in a cabin in the deepest forest, convincing them that there is an enormous beast surrounding the forest. Marcos, the eldest son, disappears while hunting with his father, and his brother, Argel, has to get out of the cabin and get inside the horrific woods to overcome his fears and unveil the secrets hidden by his father and the darkness of the forest. Brontis Jodorowsky stars this mysterious modern fable by the promising Mexican director. It was part of the 2016 Warsaw and Sitges Film Festivals.
