The Dark Tower

'The Dark Tower' is the film adaptation of the books created by Stephen King. The saga is composed of a series of eight novels written between 1982 and 2004, telling the story of Roland Deschain and the difficulties to achieve the long-awaited "dark tower". A mystical construction which is said to work as a magic portal to other worlds. It's a dream that is not known very well if is something real or something created by the imagination. 'The Dark Tower' is a film that mixes several genres such as horror, science fiction, fantasy and western. Nikolaj Arcel is the director of the film adaptation and Matthew McConaughey (as Roland Deschain) and Idris Elba (as the Gunslinger) will be inside the cast. At the same time, Abbey Lee, Jackie Earle Haley, Fran Kranz and Tom Taylor are rumored to be the studio's' option to play different characters in the movie. On the other hand, Akiva Goldsman, Nikolaj Arcel, Anders Thomas Jensen are the writers of the script.
